SCP-4341's Gateway
SCP - 4341 is to be contained in a large containment chamber that can be accessed by level 4 personnel and up. The containment chamber for the anomaly can be entered through a 35 cm reinforced large thick wide metal door entranceway guarded by 15 armed Foundation guards equipped with high powered assault rifles. Armed security personnel guarding the chamber will and should change every 12 hours. The anomaly is observed and tested by researchers through a bulletproof see through window in the top left of the chamber. There will no ventilation in the chamber to prevent SCP-4341's poisonous spores from spreading throughout the facility instead all personnel will be required to bring gas masks attached to gas tanks or biohazard suits when entering the containment chamber. Mics and cameras would also be installed during experimentation with the cameras having infrared ability to detect life forms exiting the SCP gateway.
Every 3 weeks, D-class personnel and volunteering armed personnel enter the chamber with flamethrowers held by the D-class while the armed personnel are to terminate any resisting or hostile D-class if they refuse to do the task or attack them using the weapons they are given. If flamethrowers fail to work, all personnel inside the chamber and the observation room are to exit immediately it for researchers in the Sector █ security chamber to initiate Protocol 023-C-Alpha.
Protocol 023-C-Alpha is an order for the whole containment chamber of SCP-4341 to be burned by hidden furnaces beneath the room. Protocol could only be ordered or allowed by Class B researchers such as present Dr. ████ upon requesting permission from Site Director. Any personnel below Class B level who initiated the protocol without any supervision or permission from the director will be subject to disciplinary methods and possibly termination.
Failure for Protocol 023-C-Alpha to work or work late will result to the spread of SCP-4341 outside of the facility and the complete incineration of Sector █. The rest of the Site would be put in complete lockdown and security personnel are expected to be high alert A status until the arrival of reinforcements. MTF Task Force Alpha 3 ("Flayers") would be sent to destroy any remaining evidences of SCP-4341 using special flamethrowers made by foundation engineers from Site ██.
Description:
SCP - 4341 is a Keter class anomaly contained in Sector █ of Site 34. It is a parallel dimension similar to ours but with a difference in events that occurred during the Cold War from ████ - ████ . According to records (mostly composed of newspapers) retrieved by the expedition team, SCP-4341 is a dimension wherein an unknown mysterious parasite alien species (designated SCP - 4341 - A) landed on ████, ████ after the first US moon landing and began its terraforming process from the landing site. The atmosphere and the environment of globe was greatly affected during the parasite's terraform from ██/██/████ to ██/██/████ . Due to this lethal change, humanity ceased to exist as the air became lethal and food became scarce as the soil was no longer fertile. By the time the foundation had launched its first expedition into SCP - 4341, all of earth had already been completely changed by SCP - 4341 - A with infectious spores, dark slimy living vines, mutated creatures, and abnormal storms.
Anyone who comes in contact with the infectious spores or dark living vines of the SCP (Designated into SCP-4341-2) without protective wear would mutate into horrific creatures (Designated SCP-4341-3) as the SCP changed the DNA leading to fast and abnormal mutations.
Our world which the 05 designated "Earth/Dimension 1" is being infected with SCP-4341 through opening interdimensional portals using unknown means. Vines would exit from these portals and will spread around its containment chamber but luckily it could be stopped and delayed with flamethrowers held by D-Class personnel. If the SCP-4341 continues to spread, it would lead to a containment breach The 05 council tasked several assigned Class B or Level 4 high ranking researchers particularly does who are Class B and have security clearances to observe SCP-4341 for important changes.
Discovery:
SCP-4341 was found by an MTF Team codenamed "Vectors" sent by Foundation Command after they received reports of several disappearances within 5 weeks on ████████ in the United States of America. The MTF task force began investigating when they arrived and began interviewing the families of the missing people. Head MTF Commander Raymond pointed out that all the people who came through a heavily dense forest near the town was never seen again since 1999 according to the families. The Vectors began their search in the forest and covered a large area until they discovered an abandoned SCP research facility.
Once the 05 were given the report, they immediately order a total lockdown along with quarantine of the whole town with a ruse about a chemical leak in the area. The MTF "Vectors" were given the go ahead by Foundation Command to enter the abandoned facility which was later designated SCP-4341-A. They eventually found SCP-4341 in a containment chamber below the facility and radioed for the containment team to immediately recover the SCP. The containment chamber soon separated SCP-4341 from the wall and transported it to Site ██.
Further investigation by the MTF gave the Foundation Investigation Department (FID) the realization that a major containment breach occurred at SCP-4341-A on 1999 but there is no evidence on what or who started the breach. Some Foundation personnel particularly some of the 05's speculated it could be the Chaos Insurgency or the Serpent's hand.
Evidences of containment breach are the decomposed bodies of Foundation personnel around the facility but when inspected by the Foundation's coroners, the bodies died but not by gunshot, blunt force or even a sort of attack, instead the bodies according to one of the coroners "just died".
There were no proofs of an attack from outside or inside as the facility was mostly intact with some parts of it destroyed due to time. SCP-4341-A for most of the foundation seemed to be a mystery and even the 05 were confused about it. Eventually, it was later designated to be just a major containment breach with 80 Foundation personnel dead.
The whole town was later given a Class C amnestics and the lockdown along with the quarantine was lifted. The missing people of ████████ were never found and presumed dead but the foundation continued investigating until now.
